Whilst Kate has been holding the fort at Rivington today, I got to spend a lovely day in the Albert Halls, talking to Bolton Council Staff about how they should use their 3 days volunteering leave to help us keep the Gardens looking great 😁😇🤩 B

A great, busy week for the Gardens 🤩 Clearance what would usually take us about 5 weeks, has taken us just 2 (!) because of the brilliant turn out we've had from amazing Volunteers 🥺 We also kept wider Lever Park clean & tidy after last weeks Litterpick 💪

We now have these fantastic maps of the Gardens and Lever Park available in our Visitor Centre🤩 They were designed by one of our regular Weekday Volunteers, who not only comes to the Gardens week in week out to help but then also spent countless hours producing this for us👏🥰

Over Winter for the past few years we have encountered this trespass and ASB to our Lawns. This is a Heritage Crime. Please, if you ever encounter this on a visit, report it to the police 🙏 It didn't keep our Staff Team down though 👊💪

Freezing temperatures didn't put our Weekday Volunteers off this week as they did a brilliant job on our annual clearance of Lever's Bridge and its surrounding pathways 🤩 We also spotted this lovely miniature snowman on patrol which made us all smile 😊

Each year we work in partnership with Maggs, the fantastic Community Champion at Tesco Horwich, to provide volunteer support for their annual food bank collection. Us & our Volunteers will be here until this evening and all day tomorrow helping with this brilliant cause 😊
