Everyone knows Lewis & Clark, but did you know that there was a black man who was also part of the expedition? As he was enslaved by William Clark, he participated as a full member of the expedition & was present when the expedition reached the Pacific Ocean. A THREAD

During the 1940s it was rare for a black person to have control over large amounts of land. In 1944, a group of white men brutally lynched Rev. Isaac Simmons, a Black minister & farmer, so they could steal his land in Amite County, Mississippi which was over 270 acres A THREAD!

For years, people have sent me pictures of “Rishi tea” and for years I have pretended to be shocked and surprised, “my unique name in a coffee store??” Today is an end of an era. Thank you all for all the pictures of tea over the years.

asset goes $10 -> $20 returns = 100% logreturns = ln(20/10) = 69% why log smaller? cos that's the returns required to get from $10 to $20 if u're constantly compounding the position. why do u care? cos u can add log returns up over time and adding is easy. convert like this

A quiet prediction for 2026, from someone who has spent a lot of time studying how humans behave at work: I think we’re about to see an unprecedented quiet retirement of elder millennials from tech. Not dramatic exits. Not mass layoffs. Just a steady, largely unannounced

TSA PreCheck increases throughput, speeding up the process and shortening lines for everyone whether they have it or not. CLEAR arbitrarily prioritizes passengers who want to pay extra and does nothing to speed up the security process as a whole. It should be banned.
