Great first meeting with the UK Task Force of UNChildRights this morning! I had the opportunity to speak to committee members about the most important issues facing children in Scotland prior to their meeting with representatives of Scottish Government this afternoon. #TeamScotlandUN
🗨️ Thanks to Scot Gov Health Minister for Mental Wellbeing Maree Todd for coming along to SYP HQ today! 📣 Following #YouthMentalHealthDay this week, the Minister heard from our Mental Health Investigation Team, who recently published their evaluation into community support
I loved taking part in Emma Prach and Olivia Brown MSYP work shop at #SYP80 on video making where we created (this very successful) tik tok! Learning a different way to reach young people is definitely something I will incorporate in my work :)
✊🏿 This year's #BlackHistoryMonth focus is #SalutingOurSisters The theme is all about celebrating trailblazing Black women and sharing their stories! Edinburgh Pentlands MSYP Tk Adebayo shares who her Black female role models are - we'd love if you shared yours too! #BHM2023
Scottish Youth Parliament ‘Education Times’ magazine has been published 🥳📖 Along many of the important education projects my fellow MSYPs have been involved with… I’d like to highlight the anti-racist work in Education I have led over the years + members of The Movement✨
📢 Scottish Youth Parliament is the democratically elected voice of Scotland's young people 🗳️ Voting is now open for young people across Scotland to elect their MSYPs to represent them for the next two years ➡️ Have your say today at elections.syp.org.uk

Check out our latest report Project Sonrisa 🚨📣 One of our key themes is the need for intersectional representation in mental health spaces. The report is key for creating a foundation for our future work to come. Read more about this here ⬇️
Additionally, during ARDP’s residential we named our group; Anti-Racist Champions (ARC) ✨💬 With this name in mind, we will continue to foster an inclusive culture Scottish Youth Parliament with internal training sessions. We can’t wait to continue this ongoing work! #ARC 🌍🙌🏾
On to the unknown and beyond… I am incredibly proud of us and how much we have grown - I will never forget my role as Trustee, serving two terms. Whilst the Scottish Youth Parliament has happened to me, I have also happened to the SYP. I have left a legacy I am incredibly joyful to claim.
✊🏾 #BHM24: In a new blog as part of #BlackHistoryMonth, Daniela Onyewuenyi MSYP and @ShafaWaqasMSYP write about their experience as Anti-Racist Champions 🗨️ MSYPs received training from @CEMVOscot to carry out their anti-racism work ⬇️ Read the blog below: syp.org.uk/our-experience…
