Alicja K (Y8) won our Antarctica flag competition and her flag travelled on the RRS Sir David Attenborough to Lemaire Channel along the West Antarctic Peninsular with Theresa Gossman, from the British Antarctic Survey. Amazing! ๐ฆ๐ถ๐โ๏ธ๐ Ripley St Thomas CE Academy UK Polar Network
Year 8 Geographers enjoyed field work around Bowness. The objective was to explore the impact of human activity & tourism in a post-glacial landscape. They recorded footfall and registered noise pollution and enjoyed a trip on the ferry to view glacial landforms! Ripley Geography
A couple of weeks ago, our Y13 Geographers enjoyed a glorious visit ๐ to Ribblehead in the Yorkshire Dales and to Heysham coastal defences. They covered topics from A level Physical Geography in water and carbon cycle along with coastal defences. Ripley Geography
