When we started our colour-marking study of the UK's naturalised Barnacle Goose population, we didn't think they would roam as much as they have! Watch till the end...

Kittiwake chicks on the Gateshead Saltmeadows tower. Adult “ANR” also has a Geolocator that we hope to retrieve so we can learn more about where Tyne Kittiwakes winter. Grateful to Gateshead Council for help and @NENature_ Dickinson Memorial fund for grant assistance.

Colour flagged Redshank back for its fourth summer on the Coquet Estuary. (Initially ringed on the Humber). Also still 11 Knot and 9 Bar-wit that seem to be staying for the summer and today a Whimbrel, perhaps the first one back? Northumberland & Tyneside Bird Club NERings

First returning #ColourRinged Norwegian Black-headed Gull on the #Blyth Estuary yesterday. Last managed to read the ring code (White J0266) on 1/1/24 but it was almost certainly present until March though always too distant to confirm. NERings Northumberland & Tyneside Bird Club Alan Curry
