Windy morning at Essex Wildlife Trust Gt Holland pits. PE stayed high, but the purple hairsteak did play ball. White & red admiral, small tort, holly blues, meadow brown and high WL hairsteak also present. Good to bump into Rob Seago πͺπΊππ¦ππΏπ#FBPE . Chris Boyd Steve Nikols

Had a walk round Chalkney woods today. Cant say I enjoyed it. Almost 100% tree cover and very messy tracks. Theres a footpath under the trees in this photo would you believe. Essex County Council Oh, and got barked at by at off lead dog because it didnt expect to see someone else! π²
