Target's Kerry Ann Shepherd says #OpenBanking is much more than just 'another technology'. It will help give citizens control over their data and how it's used. And it will enable #finserv companies to use customer data to deliver truly tailored solutions. #DLweek #CitizenDebt

"For myself I am an optimist, it does not seem to be much use being anything else” - Winston Churchill, 1954. As the sun goes down after the shortest day of the year, we celebrate the days will now grow longer and at the end of even the longest night, the sun always returns.

Happy 70th birthday to the great Kevin Keegan. He may be a Yorkshireman, but his roots lie in the Irish diaspora that came to work in the Durham coalfields.

One of John Vanbrugh’s lesser known works: Morpeth Town Hall (1714, although rebuilt to the same design in the mid 19thC). It was originally built by the Howards, Earls of Carlisle, and then later restored by Lord Joicey, a Durham coal baron who lived nearby.
