Blakehope Nick, Kielder Forest Drive, Northumberland. One of Britain's highest roads at over 1,500 feet, it is a taste of wild Scotland in England. 12 miles of unpaved, rough road - SUV's preferred - but the views are stunning.

Forest Dawn. We could all do with some 'Shinrin Yoku' - Forest Bathing . Takes half an hour for the stress to drop away & the natural calmness of the trees to seep in. It's like being able to breathe again. Highly recommended.

A Scots Pine in a moody Glen Nevis, Scotland. One of the grandest views in the Highlands, it’s a mile or so along a rugged and in places precarious path to the spectacular Steall Falls at the end of the Glen. This is one of the views on the way.

We had one of the most amazing views in Britain from our holiday cottage in July - the North face of Ben Nevis. Just caught this drama unfolding on the last day. Half an hour later and it was a whiteout.

Reviewing a few images from this year. This is Sweetbriar Marshes - a lovely spot right next to the outer ring road in Norwich. In fact, when there, you realise how the road cuts through this beautiful bit of nature - it’s intrusive.
