🚨 EAST KILBRIDE MP REID DEFENDS LABOUR WELFARE CUTS East Kilbride Labour MP Joani Reid has defended the UK Labour Government's welfare cuts in a move the government's own modelling suggests will push 150,000 into poverty. This is not what people in East Kilbride voted for.

The Labour Party created the welfare state and now they’re dismantling it. Any MP who supports this legislation today is supporting cutting payments from disabled people.

Many MPs may well be bought off by the concessions that the Westminster Government has been forced into, but make no mistake Labour are betraying disabled people and are slashing the social security safety net.

There is something very uncomfortable about having an MP who was parachuted into East Kilbride from London, voting against the expressed view of the people here. Anyway, this week marks one year since Joani was elected MP for East Kilbride. Let her eat cake.

An English oil refinery goes into administration and House Jock Michael Shanks jumps into action pulling out all the stops to save it. Where was this sense of urgency when Grangemouth needed help? Where was the support for the Grangemouth workers?
