Cannonball Fungi (GenusΒ Sphaerobolus) The tiny fruiting bodies of this fungi are about 3 mm across, and split open when ready to disperse their spores which shoot out like a cannonball. It has been noted these can travel as far as 3 metres! Croome NationalTrust National Trust Worcs Wildlife Trust

These #bees are actually sleeping in this position. They clamp their mandibles on to the stem or leaf of a plant and spend the night just hanging around. Once the next day warms up enough they just let go and get on with their day. Taken at Croome NationalTrust Worcs Wildlife Trust BBC Springwatch
