I remember moving out to the Bay Area from Atlanta thinking everyone was so schlubby in their sweatpants everywhere. I moved back to Atlanta 4 years later and now I wear sweatpants everywhere. Definitely feel a little bit self conscious. But mostly just feel comfy. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We don’t want rounded corners when the window is narrow enough for the cards to span the entire viewport, so we use the “Fab Four” technique to collapse the border-radius to zero conditionally.

Hard to get used to the new full bleed Twitter design on iOS. Every time I open the app it feels like I'm inside of a tweet thread view - but "swiping it away" just opens the menu because I'm actually on the timeline.

So you know that year we all spent locked inside? Well, this is how I spent it: beta.reactjs.org Full deets and comments here: github.com/reactjs/reactj…

Nothing like spending literally days repeatedly setting up your dev environment keeping having to start over. I just want to actually build stuff. :(

Got my awesome Rome Tools swag box today! It's all super cool but the shirt is definitely a women's medium. If anyone wears a women's medium and wants this sweet Rome Tools shirt, let me know! Would happily send it to you for the cost of shipping! cc Sebastian Jamie Kyle is on 🦋

Second kid is kinda like playing a game over but on a harder mode. On one hand you know exactly what's coming and you know all the mechanics and controls. On the other hand you have to do all this with a toddler who was already a (wonderful) handful at the same time.

Hi folks! I need some help🙏🏻 Anyone know companies offering internships or Jr Software Eng positions for someone transitioning into tech? They’re a math PhD, former professor, completed AppAcademy's self-taught program, and would be a great engineer. All leads/advice welcome🤗

When I was a kid I wanted to play Pokemon but didn't have a Gameboy, so I got an emulator and a ROM and played it on my PC. The ROM came with the player's name selected as "Sean". I had never met a Sean before and I was convinced it was pronounced like "seen".

Is there any way to reliably detect if you're running inside of a "type="module"" WebWorker vs a "classic" WebWorker? The only way I can think of is calling importScripts and checking the error message, but that's not very robust... cc Jason Miller 🦊⚛ maybe?

You know I'd really love to switch over to bluesky but I'm still on the waitlist. Not that I'm all that important or anything but it feels like if they wanted to take advantage of the situation, you'd think twitter's competition would try to open up a bit faster?
