Good to see this. ♥️ The London Living Wage advocacy of Citizens UK has kept body and soul together for many in this parish & ward of #Kilburn & in our city as a whole.

Struck by the diversity of stuff we deal with. This morning included: 2 safeguarding issues, an HR issue, some PCC business, property rental renewal, Confirmation class planning, an insurance claim, a couple of pastoral matters, my own tax. Sometimes it’s also nice to pray!

"Every failure to act, every delay, every obstacle feels like a beating. This is nothing less than institutional violence. And, perhaps more importantly, it entails work. Exhausting, emotionally draining, unpaid work. This, too, is the work of surviving." Really awful to read

Good to see National Secular Society hosting this debate with Jonathan Romain & Hifsa Haroon-Iqbal OBE DL MPhil St Bride's Church, Fleet Street as I, challengingly, raised circumcision myself as an issue I found difficult to navigate terms of my own liberalism as a person of faith at the annual conference & found the engagement afterward

Really makes me angry when those who (are accused of) abuse turn victims into abusers by a totally amoral appeal to Christlikeness. Sean Feucht exemplifies the pattern: “The spirit of offense is entangling an entire generation in a perpetual cycle where victimhood becomes the

Tom calls for more Clergy to speak out about how we deal with abuse and Safeguarding The Church of England. I fully understand this call but also fully understand why so many clerical colleagues to do speak out. That’s because of a whole nexus of issues like the extent of Episcopal

All primary school children in state schools across Barnet & Camden already receive free school meals thanks to @Sadiqkhan. Brilliant to see this government expanding free school meals to secondary school children from families on Universal Credit as well.
