I'm planning to go to the ISSCC vendor exhibition (not the talks) in SF, February. I'm hoping to meet some of my Twitter geek pals! 🤓

Going to Photonics West tomorrow. I like checking out the exhibition hall. It will be my first ride on the electrified Cal Train!

The new electrified Cal Train was great. Much quieter and faster. Photonics West exhibitions were huge. I got my steps in yesterday!

I thought I had fried an expensive laser yesterday. It is OK. Phew! What's the most expensive component you have damaged? I burned a ⚾️ sized hole in a 1.5 MW water cooled load. $5000

This one got me! Zero Code Output Value: Each DAC buffer is clamped to prevent the output from going to 0V. Thus, when the input code is 000h, the output is typically 15mV to 20mV. This output keeps the closed-loop DAC output buffer in an active, stable operating regime

Tomorrow, some students are visiting our lab. I'm going to let each push the measure button so I can be the RF geek that helped them make their first spectrum analyzer measurement. Looking forward to it 😀
