Heading to Sacramento for a rally to Stop Prop36, reminded of the segment when Mayor Matt Mahan said sending more people to prison through #Prop36 can be “humane and uplifting” 🤦🏾‍♂️😡 California needs to vote no to mass incarceration!!! #VoteNoProp36 nbcbayarea.com/decision-2024/…

"Prop 6, we need that! We don't need [prop] 36, we already went through [prop] 36 before" Listen to this powerful testimony from Chester bout his experience related to prison labor and the need to shut down Prop 36 before more ppl are incarcerated. YES on Prop 6, NO on Prop 36!

Oklahoma executed Emmanuel Littlejohn today even though a state board had recommended the governor spare Littlejohn’s life. Last year, Littlejohn had a stroke that left him largely confined to a wheelchair. theappeal.org/emmanuel-littl…

Rally at the Santa Clara and San Mateo jails and court to say #NoOnProp36 and #YesOnProp6!!! Those jails will be even more overcrowded if prop 36 passes & the incarcerated will continue to be in forced labor if Prop 6 doesn’t pass. Last push to #ProtectOutPeople! Join us!

5 million Californians voted to keep slavery/involuntary servitude intact for incarcerated folks so they have to do forced free labor. Another 6.5 million voted to bring back the war on drugs. We got a lot of work to do.

One of the most inspiring, yet not commonly known, ongoing stories of San Jose is how families here who lost loved ones to police began organizing with one another & successfully pushed for a non-police crisis response line to save other families from the tragedies they endured.

Recently a large group of mostly West County residents marched to show support of our hard working immigrant families. Over 25% of Contra Costa residents are immigrants and they own over 35% of the small businesses in our County. As the sign says - Immigration Makes America Great
