Bitcoin bookshelf thread! This is the beginnings of the UW Bitcoin Research Institute’s bookshelf. Are we missing any important books? What’s on your bitcoin bookshelf?

Note — had Bitcoin “changed the code” to proof of stake (like the campaign wanted but is impossible), it wouldn’t have been able to do methane capture, and wouldn’t be trending carbon-negative. A good lesson for us all about hubris and unintended consequences.

As the 10th known Bitcoin Core contributor, Matt Corallo 🟠 has played a key role in Bitcoin’s development. He’ll join us at the Bitcoin Policy Summit to discuss the importance of non-custodial tools and why DC must protect innovation, not discourage it. 🎟️lu.ma/btcpolicysummit

Awesome to see this. The Oslo Freedom Forum was full of stories of activists using bitcoin to resist. Great to see specific education for them.

This is like saying that scientists have disproved free will — ridiculous. Qualia is *what it’s like* to experience something. Scientists can measure brain states, but — as Nagel pointed out — they can never tell us what it’s like for a bat to be a bat.

I’m at least 5 books behind, but I finally picked up Resistance Money. It’s rare to read an intro to #bitcoin that actually teaches you something new after years in the space. But I wouldn't expect anything less from Andrew M. Bailey, Bradley Rettler, and Craig Warmke.
