Underground improvements such as drainage can likely be completed during the winter, while the concrete and asphalt will likely need to wait until the warmer weather comes in due to weather/temperature limitations, township officials told me.

The township currently permits road work after 9:00am. This causes disruptions and delays to school bus routes and confusion to parents and children who don't know where to meet their school buses.

The Township Committee today advanced plans for the new family center by formally vacated the public right-of-way of the paper street which ran through the proposed site, so a road no longer needs to be paved through it.

Under this project, all 4 approaches of both County Line and Brook Road will be widened with left turning lanes. Additionally, the current right turn triangle on County Line westbound will be removed, and new, straight and right turning lanes will be constructed.

One section on Route 9 will technically be widened. The left turning lanes onto Central Ave are "underutilized" per DOT, & will be converted to through lanes, providing Route 9 northbound with an additional through lane from Central Ave / Hurley Ave to Route 88 / North Lake Drive
