Rensselaer County residents have expressed concern with their utility bills, particularly the costs of gas and electric. Now NYS is considering another expensive mandate that they claim will save money- the HEAT Act. The NY HEAT Act is simply unaffordable for New York families.

North Greenbush Democrats use reckless and divisive “8647” post to fuel division and hatred at a time when threats to public officials are rising. This type of inflammatory hatred has no place in our local political discourse. Shame on them and those who liked the post.

We opposed the CLCPA in 2019 and watched as our fear became reality. Now, even New York State’s own NYSERDA warns about the rising energy costs that are crushing our residents. It is time for Governor Hochul to take real action and declare an “Energy State of Emergency”!
