For the month of December we are working on our “kindness” box. We are writing a tootle to each of our classmates. We are telling them why they’re special to us. On December 21, we will open up our kindness box and read our VANTASTIC tootles. #scadCares Syracuse City School

One can't build relationships unless you have some knowledge of the person. Students who have strong and positive relationships with at least one adult can overcome long standing trauma and improve academic outcomes throughout their entire school career and even beyond!

Great questions for promoting a trauma sensitive classroom. Remember, not all students had a wonderful summer. Many are waiting for the security and predictably of school.

Think about when you demand a child to respond and the blank look on their face. Their frontal lobe just shut off and the response now depends on emotional responses that have been experienced previously.

If u were worried about sending children to school with unvaccinated children for a virus with very little leathality. U should be scared shitless to send children to school to catch a virus that could maim them for life, kill the classroom teacher, their bus driver, and grandma.
