In Aberdyfi today on the trail of the delightfully-named Dovey Meiriona Broucksom, named after "Aberdovey" (English spelling) & "Meirionydd" (the county.) Dovey was born to #BelgianRefugees Albert Broucksom & Anna Marcus in 1915. Baptised in St. Peter's Church, in this font.

I'm in Trefaldwyn (Montgomery) Powys today. This house was once home to #BelgianRefugees, including Louise Mertens, a "maid of all trades" seeking a job as a housemaid through the pages of L'Indépendance Belge, May 4th, 1915.
