Great wee Boxing Day morning up at one of my favourite places ‘Greenisland fc’; watching the auld lads take on the youth, and catching up with old friends.

Fair play 2 young Trigs. Went out 4 a run this afternoon; 3 circuits up the Carnmoney rd hill - 4m Beverley shops 2 Carnmoney Presbytery church, just shy of 3 mile. Beating his time by 1 minute 20 seconds Hard work paying off 💪. I’d be 🤮 half way up…

Great wee afternoon helping young Trigs build up his sprints. 30 mins working on short hill sprints using ankle weights, followed by a new 10kg resistance strap. Ending with a 2.5 mile cool down jog around pitches. Now time 2 use up the last of the turkey & veg 4m Christmas…

Great having my auld da 4 brunch 2day. Telling young Trigs about ⌚️ing some of the great German ⚽️ers he’s seen play when we lived in Germany; like the ‘Kaiser’ Franz Beckenbauer & taking me 2 ⌚️ my local team Fortuna Düsseldorf. Childhood memories flooding back…♥️ u da.

Smashed ⏱️ by 2 mins. Some know Carnmoney rd & its steep 5-600 mtr gradient. Cardio doesn’t have 2 🐝 about long runs. 2 do 3 intense circuits just over 20 mins is brilliant. Self motivation is great, but 2 have a training partner heightens energies. Well done Blake & Trigs 💪👏

Great few days home with Trigs. Training out & scoring goals in training, put prep in 4 playing outfield in his 4th year running school semi final. Jumping back in2 🥅 4 wkend games. What I ♥️ 4m wkend is seeing he’s still hates losing, still got that fighting spirit…💪

Great wkend ⚽️. Trip down memory lane vs Crues U15s. Apart 4m 2 pens, cracker 20yd free 🤾‍♂️, a great header,, Larne walked away proud. Trigs busy, pulling off top saves, including a full stretch palm round post, brave punch clearance 4m corner & a top corner save 4m 18yd. ♥️ it 💪

Not often I’m home through week & get 2 ⌚️young Trigs training. Great 2 see all his hard work mastering the ⚽️ with either 🦶, scanning, communication, positional awareness now equaling that of many who play outfield. Maybe he’ll do a Josh Magennis,; 4m keeper 2 striker 🤷‍♂️

Great end 2 week, which seen young Trigs spend Thursday being put through his paces with Larne 1st team GKs under Alan Mannus. ♥️ the experience & knowledge gain. Then 2 top it off made 3 top class saves 2 help Larne U15s to a 4-1 win & through 2 SF of U15s National league 🏆👏

♥️ when I get a 📞 4m Trigs 2 say he was playing 4 school in defence be4 switching 2 LW. Most know him as a goalie, only a few know or seen his versatility, touch playing outfield. Big congrats 2 Abbey Community College 4 reaching the 4th year running EA school 🏆 final 👏

Great wkend. Fri nite win vs tough Ballinamallard. Which seen Trigs display his L/R, short, mid, long distribution. Playing outfield 4 yrs has certainly developed his comfortability on ⚽️. Saturday watch; Larne U16s vs Carrick, Then bit of father, son teamwork painting fence💪👍

4m💥 goals in with his left 🦶@ training, till playing across back line in friday school 🏆 final,. To jumping back in2 nets as sweeper keeper 2day & keeping clean sheet - till he got subbed 2nd half to give other keeps mins. Don’t 🤷‍♂️ where he gets his versatility 4m, but l♥️ it.

It has always been a dream to follow in the footsteps of his relation and play for the club he supports. Granted the bus came early, but you never know if the next one will come, so enjoy the journey son,, no matter where it leads or dream ends. It’s all about the memories…💙
