Robert Saunders Were it not so tragic, it would be absolutely hilarious how she blames a ‘Deep State’ for undermining democracy, when her farcically unsuitable & fundamentally undemocratic ascent to No 10 was fuelled almost entirely by a client media establishment & obscurely funded think tanks.

Alistair Barrie Yes, the irony is that Truss is half-right: her reign illustrates the power of unaccountable forces over UK politics. But it's not the OBR or Natural England that's the problem, but the plutocratic press, unaccountable think-tanks & unelected party members that made her PM.
