Perhaps equally exciting as Dai being so #old and still competing is the fact that two skaters in the top 6 in the men's event - including the World Champion - have specifically stated that they were inspired by Dai's singles career.

idk if it flatters him or sends him into an existential spiral, but he opened so many doors. And the fact that he's here trying to hit as many edges as he can to Marina Zueva choreo, while his legacy continues in men's, is all kinds of insane.
