the older I get I realize the only career hack is to: 1. provide a disgusting amount of value 2. only do so for people you can tolerate seeing the other end of a zoom screen every other piece of advice can be reverse engineered into either of those two points

the best communicators come from past ownership over a revenue number or a thesis driven role like venture. I have met some career comms people who understand that company narrative is a THE vehicle for revenue creation but most reduce the craft to PR and risk reduction
