What many people call looking “bulky” is often just having too much body fat. And what they call “toned” is simply having muscle with less fat covering it.

Something I’ve realized about the health sphere is that something untrue can be repeated and copied in a massive game of telephone. Everyone believes it, and almost no one bothers to actually question whether it’s actually true or not. There’s so much blatant copying in this

When you join a gym, you sign a waiver understanding the risk of hurting yourself on the machines. At ski resorts, you sign a waiver understanding the risk of injury since slopes can be dangerous. Why isn’t it the same for food? Why can’t you buy food that you believe is

I'm not sure how to find the best doctor, but I know how to find the worst ones: Tell them you're depressed. If they give you an SSRI, run for the hills. If you're a woman, tell them you have PMS. If they give you birth control, run for the hills.

This is great! I usually recommend “tummy time” because most are in global flexion all day and hardly move into more global extension! Lateral flexion/ extension and rotation are also crucial - nerve impingements causing organ issues in some!

You probably don’t need to learn more and more. You likely need to spend some time implementing what you have already learned and focus on making health foundations daily habits. The reality is that most people don’t do that, so they look for the next hack or quick fix. But

Carbs are essential for health, but if you start gaining weight when adding them back in you're going too fast. You will end up less healthy if you're fat & eating carbs. Slow reintroduction is key.

Do you think having a strong sense of purpose is a key part of overall health? Can you truly feel that sense of purpose if your health isn’t supporting you? Does better metabolic health give you the energy and capacity to do more, chase your passions, and fully live out your

I found my passion when I stopped constantly undereating and improved my metabolism and energy production. I stopped doing what I thought others wanted and instead was able to finally lean in to what gets me excited.

Ray Peat talks about developing a personal feeling about certain substances and nutrients, and I think this attitude is incredibly valuable. You develop the feeling by reading about the properties of that thing, but also by observing the body’s response to it and the subtle

I'm convinced many people Peat themselves into stomach issues partly because the archetypical "Peat diet" is not really supportive of bile production. Avoidance of bitter plants, lots of fat intake from coconut oil (MCTs don't stimulate bile acids), not intaking enough choline.

If you are a driven, passionate, soulful person, routines are essential. Not to tame your fire, but to feed it, steadily, within boundaries that let it burn brighter without burning out.

I think people forget that electrolytes are present in food. Most people don’t need electrolyte packets (many are just flavored salt water) 🤷🏻‍♀️ but it’s easier to sell the fancy packets than say “eat a well balanced diet”.

Learning more and more information is not transformation. It’s not taking action. You likely need to implement what you already know 💕
