💙Last week we had the exciting opportunity to attend and present at the #IYCC2024
💜While away we got to hear from amazing people and organisations across the globe MYTIME Young Carers, Carers Trust Scotland, Little Dreamers, American Association of Caregiving Youth (AACY), Saul Becker, and Rebecca Lacey to name a few.
New Office for National Statistics (ONS) data shows the brutal health impact of being an unpaid carer, with 25% saying they’re not in good health.
The next government must prioritise long-term funding for social care and ensure unpaid carers can access desperately-needed respite breaks.

Cannot stop thinking about those few days in Manchester
Wow... It was truly amazing to spend most of this week at Manchester Metropolitan Uni for the 4th International Young Carers Conference. Brilliant to meet so many passionate and dedicated people and work with incredible young carers from around the world. So powerful, emotive and inspirational.
Andy McGowan 4th International Young Carers Conference Probably the most powerful, emotive and important conference i have been to in 25 years of working in the young carers sector. Thank you to Saul Becker and the young carers specifically as well as everybody else for 'showing up' and 'just being there ' to 'show you care'.

Wow 4th International Young Carers Conference was incredible! The BEST conference I have ever been too (even if I did full on sob 3 times!) 😠I've never come away from a conference feeling so inspired & driven.
