Ah the good old bodger's belt change. "No need to time the cams. Just mark it up and swap the belts." 🙄 No doubt done by following a YouTube expert. Expensive game that.

Just back from taking the stock 1250 for a fuelling, power and torque baseline on the dyno. Decent figures for a stock bike IMHO at 102 and 79. 👍

After action report. 😄 Goes well, really well, with couple of bits to sort/adjust. Really miss a fairing first thing in the morning, and that Cowley is loud which makes it a bit much on the bypass first thing in the morning. 👍

What's the name/number of the Givi luggage system that fits the racks on a 1250 Bandit? The racks are on but I have no top or side boxes.

Instead of leaving it hanging around waiting for me to remap it and/or to donate its innards for an injection conversion, I put the 1250 on the road. I had to go to the post office to apply for a V5 anyway so taxed it while I was there, and it already has an MOT.👍

Bank holiday? not here unfortunately as it's busy week ahead. Rocket 3 engine, calliper to hellicoil, mulcher needing a belt etc etc. I also got to try out the ABS on the 1250 at 06:30 on a roundabout this morning.🫤

Customer brought in a calliper with a broken tap stuck in it. Turns out the tap broken when it hit the broken piece of easy-out. 🫤 Anyway, spark erosion to remove the tap, drill to get the easy-out, then a time-sert and he's good to go.

Three different bikes, from three different decades, three different options for getting around with a grin on your face. 👍

Some used +020 pistons for the BSA Rocket 3. Into the parts wash and a turn through the vapour blaster. Once the rebore is done they can have some new rings.
