Would love if Gil Penalosa #Cities4Everyone got elected mayor! He will take Toronto from a car dependent suburb to a walkable city. This will solve many issues we are facing.

Remember this picture every single time you hear someone in your city say "we're not Amsterdam." This was #Amsterdam in the 1970s, via Cycling Professor 🚲 . The cities we admire made better choices regarding cars, and are still making them today. Better choices instead of excuses.

North York City Centre’s skyline is expanding north alongside the Yonge Street Line 1 Subway Extension. Characterized by its linear density pattern, the area is largest employment centre outside of Downtown Toronto. #Toronto #ToRE #urbanplanning #transit

Remember this one? Before & after of a brain after a 20 minute walk — why walking to work, or school, or just to get the intellectual juices flowing, is linked to better creative & intellectual performance. Among MANY other benefits to you and to society. Design #walkablecities.

The worst part about suburbs is when you’re a young kid and you can’t go anywhere without your parents. Walkable communities give kids freedom to learn and grow.

There are more than 300 high-rise and mid-rise towers in development throughout Downtown Toronto — the epicentre of North America’s fastest growing city. #Toronto #ToRE #urbanplanning #development

Why do some agents never call and just email an offer. It’s so random. Just give me a quick call first. #torontorealestate

People often think I’m anti-car. I’m not against the car. I literally own a car. One that I bought new just a few years ago that I really enjoy driving. What I’m against is the convenience of the car being at the centre of how we’ve designed our society.

I always use Uber Eats and I tried to use SkipTheDishes for the first time today. Never received my order and when I request a refund this is what they send me…definitely not going to continue enjoying skip 🤦🏽‍♂️

To me, this reads as a promise to prioritise investment in public transit. Which is 🔑. - better on 🌍 - better on wallet (cars are pricey!) - better for health (less air pollution from cars + more physical activity) - better for social interactions I like it. 👏👏
