Chaz Nuttycombe This would be like if Cheney had forced Bush to resign as governor and move to Connecticut or something because he couldn't be bothered to sell his house in Dallas.

All the healthcare spending in the world can only do so much for violent crime, obesity, poor lifestyle, and automobile fatalities

Indie numbers are terrible. I guess the question is how many of them are “MAGA moderates” and how many are conventional Indies

Tony I think the average American prefers someone a little to their right over someone a lot to their left. Maybe the swing voter is dead and/or MD is too left, but I think Hogan himself isn’t the issue, it’s giving R’s a majority. In a vacuum Hogan wins easily.

Elon could be the greatest thing to ever happen to twitter if he could fix that thing where you click on the Home button and start reading something, then seconds later it disappears never to be found again

I like Mitt Romney. I still like Mitt Romney. I will always like Mitt Romney.

I also love Kyrsten Sinema and Susan Collins.

The essential question facing the Republican Party is this: Will we be the party of conservatism and the constitution, or will we follow the siren song of populism unmoored to conservative principles?

It’s really strange how for all history “surprise” was a key part of war

But now…everyone is like “hey friendly 48 hr warning we’re gonna attack so like, move your stuff I guess”

A bizzaro return to “gentlemanly” western Euro wars of 19th century ala Franco Prussian etc

I remember when Trump bombed Iran and took out that commander, and it was pretty awesome. No one wants a war, but Iran could use a good bombing from time to time.

Abortion has clearly hurt Republicans that aren't hardcore pro-lifers too. It's an issue for the whole GOP brand. But the reality is, more moderation at least gets marginally better results, and it would probably get way better results if a majority of the party adopted that

Safe D is an insane rating IMO, but Tossup is also insane.

I'd put it at Leans D for now since it's still April, but I'd expect it to move towards Likely D by the fall
