Here's another LP I picked up for £2 last week. Got this CheapShow ? There's a sweet song on it called 'Why Does It Have To Rain On Sunday??' which surely must've been the inspiration for a certain 1999 Travis hit single? Whaddayereckon? youtube.com/watch?v=lpFY4f…

In his head, how does JD Vance square the idea that the life of every unborn child is sacred, with his statement that the murder of a (walking, talking) child in a school shooting is “a fact of life”? This is an actual question, just talk me through the logic, if it exists.

Just picked up this 2012 oddity that I've never heard of before. A mash up of Richard Burton reading from Dylan Thomas's classic Under Milk Wood with the dub reggae sounds of King Tubby. Link below. One for Tim Smells Andy Miller & Simon Price﮷ ? youtube.com/watch?v=U4N_xE…

I gather they showed Madness' debut performance on Top Of The Pops tonight. Did any eagle eyed viewers spot an oblivious Suggs in mauve tonic suit sat in shot behind Cliff Richard as he starts his song? Suggs realises his error and shuffles off. youtube.com/watch?v=z7UhSC… #TOTP

Prog 53 Another week, another bloody Dan Dare cover, and lordy, this one is dreary for the kids. Great art, nice pointillism, but it just reminds me of a front page of Look-In promoting some new period drama starring Lewis Collins.

Prog 55 The old 'obscene clone fall' punchline* is finally a reality for Dan Dare. *the punchline for the most contrived set up for a dad joke ever.

Advert from a 1979 prog of 2000 AD comic. Did anybody here win a trip in Barratt's hot air balloon? Does anybody know anyone who did? Finally, and most importantly, does anybody have any memory of Jaffa Fountains? (pictured bottom right)

I stumbled across this ancient news report clip by mistake tonight (certain indie music nerdy fans will know why). It's pure The Day Today. youtube.com/watch?v=R8rvE-…

Prog 56 18 MAR 78? It's my birthday! I'm 12 years old but YAAAARGH! Someone has written the word 'QUATRO' in ink on the cover. It can't mean the fizzy fruit drink as that wasn't manufactured until 1982, so it can only be a Suzi Quatro fan. Curse that papergirl in double denim!

I watched the Presidential TV debate live last night. People are saying Trump looked tired. Well, if they’re going to insist a 78 year old elderly man start a ninety minute debate at 2am in the morning, no wonder he looked knackered. Typical dirty tricks by the Deep Swamp thing!
