If anything that passes for "holiness" has not all the marks which the Scriptures lay down as belonging to it, then it is worthless. Reject it.

We need the Spirit of God more than we need money, more than we need learning.

If there is trouble and confusion in the church, and all looks dark and discouraging, the first thing you need is not a church trial, but the moving of the Spirit of God upon the hearts of the people.

The wicked are not wholly destitute of the Spirit of God. Bad as they are, they would be much worse were it not for his restraining influence. Many a hand that has been raised to kill, has been held back by the unseen power of the Divine Spirit.
