Today we celebrate the anniversary of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), signed into law on Dec. 2, 1975, by then President Gerald Ford. We honor the work of special education professionals to ensure all Kansas students have access to high-quality education.

The most horrible parts of Sanfilippo Syndrome are the next steps. While Julia can still walk with assistance, it’s become challenging when we go places. What I take for granted is being robbed from my beautiful daughter. I remain grateful to God for her and for this new chair❤️
