It’s not enough to teach kids. Education is about more than a lesson plan and more than a test score. The best schools help their students feel valued and connected.

Some kids have drama at home, drama on the bus, and drama in the hall. It’s great when classrooms can be a safe haven for students. That's something teachers can create... but it doesn't happen by accident.

It’s quite possible that the kids you like the least, are the ones who need you the most.

And just like that, tennis season has come to an end! I am so happy that God put these young ladies at Cornerstone Schools of Alabama in my life and allowed me to coach and mentor them over the last few months. Go Lady Eagles!
