Attention softball campers! We have a schedule change due Thursday’s weather forecast. Base-running/ Sliding that was scheduled for Thursday will now be tomorrow (Wednesday) instead. Please make sure you have a change of clothes because you will get wet on the slip ‘n slide! 🥎

Also, Thursday’s schedule will now be pitching and catching and may be inside the middle school it does rain. Make sure you have tennis shoes! See you tomorrow for more fun! 🥎

Day 2 of our softball camp! Beautiful weather and great attitudes, effort and focus today as girls learned good hitting techniques! 🥎

Day 3 of our camp! The girls learned how to run bases and slide today and had a ball! 🥎

Day 4- Pitching and Catching! The beginning pitchers learned about the arm circle, snaps, proper body positioning and motion, and the proper rotation of the ball. More advanced pitchers learned the basics of how to throw a curve ball, drop ball, rise ball and change-up. 🥎

Day 4- Pitching and Catching! The catchers got to try out the gear and learned how to frame, block, catch pop-ups and get into throwing position. Then they had their throwing speed clocked from behind the plate. 🥎

Last day of our softball camp- our Scrimmage/ Pizza/ Awards/ T-shirt Day! The girls said they had a great time but the coaches may have had even more fun! Meghan, Janae, Bailey and Sarah were great and Coach Slone was a big hit handing out popsicles and free sparklers. Fun week!

Scrimmage game today on our last day of camp! The players showed off the skills that they learned all week. We are so proud of their effort, attitude and focus all week long! Truly a great group of girls! 🥎
