The war in Gaza has gone on for so long because Hamas has refused to release the men, women and children it took hostage. Britain rewarding them recognition of statehood sets a terrifying precedent that hostage-taking is an effective bargaining tool when dealing with Britain.

The British government position over ‘recognising Palestine’ is unravelling fast tonight. Or at least bereft of logical explanation. From official UK government statements it seems that Keir Starmer’s position is that, if a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel is reached because

As a Dual British-Israeli citizen who survived 471 days in Hamas captivity, I am deeply saddened by your decision Keir Starmer to recognise Palestinian statehood. This move does not advance peace—it risks rewarding terror. It sends a dangerous message: that violence earns

I’ve long backed a two-state solution. But believing it’s possible after Oct. 7 without first uprooting the radicalization in Gaza & the West Bank is fantasy. Peace will only be possible after the culture of death in Palestinian society comes to an end. Interview on Sky News.

I still can’t believe that my government just rewarded the terrorists who committed the biggest single massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.

There is just no way any government minister can justify censoring information from 16 and 17 year olds that might be ‘harmful’, while in the same breath saying they can join the army and vote. It’s the dumbest position imaginable.

The UK has put its foreign policy at the mercy of a terrorist organisation that is now calling the shots. What a pathetic excuse for moral leadership by the West.

That's a fair question. It sits incredibly uncomfortably with my faith. I support Israel's right to self defence & its aim of dismantling Hamas, but it MUST stay within 'just war' limits. To the extent to which it fails in this (if verified) I'd denounce those specific acts.

Fraser’s breezy view ignores a secular deterioration in: 1. GDP/Govt debt ratio. 2. Energy resilience. 3. Industrial capacity. 4. Trade balance. 5. Social trust. 6. Family stability. 7. Mental health. 8. Physical fitness. 9. Housing affordability. Apart from that it’s fine 😊
