The atrocities committed by Hamas were unmitigated evil. Say it clearly. But there is nothing morally justifiable in the retaliatory airstrikes on Gaza killing 1,800 Palestinians, including hundreds of children. There's no moral clarity in wreaking vengeance on innocent people.
