I hate when people say “I’m sorry” about cancer. The only one that should be sorry about cancer is cancer.

Part 1 “What does a cancer patient look like?" Many people tend to imagine a cancer patient as bald, thin, and sick-looking. However, the truth is that not all cancer patients look sick on the outside.

Slow mornings feel sacred to me. Before texts. Before appointments. Before the world needs something. Not rushing isn’t laziness. It’s my nervous system learning we’re safe. We have time. We begin gently.

saw this quote that said “People who grew up in broken homes don't usually have big dreams. They only dream of having a home nobody can take away and a person who won't abandon them” And I felt that.

I stepped away from my manuscript for a bit. Wrote for a magazine. Grew in ways I didn’t expect. Now I’m circling back to the book and I feel… everything. Writers — what did distance reveal to you when you returned to your work?

Somewhere between information and knowledge. Voice and silence. Distance and embodiment. That’s where I’ve been living lately.

Bought myself this bookmark as a reminder. Because sometimes encouragement needs a little spice.

Some of the most meaningful shifts happen before the language catches up.

Entering March gently. Not forcing. Not proving. Just tending what’s mine and moving with intention.

When humor was the only thing I could reach for. It carried me through rooms I didn’t want to be in. Still does.

It’s not always that deep. But when it sticks with you, it usually is.

Learn to build a relationship of trust with the Universe.

It’s humbling when your body sets new limits. Asking for help doesn’t take away from who you are. It honors what you’re carrying.

Illness reveals a lot about people. Sometimes who shows up. Sometimes who doesn’t. But it also reveals how complicated being human really is.

Staying the f*ck away from feelings & memories associated w/ our trauma does nothing but guarantee they will continue to live in our body, nervous system, & endocrine system exactly as they do right now. If nothing changes, nothing changes.

Today felt like a “just keep going” kind of day.

Just when I thought I finally got my sleep schedule in order… spring forward said lol no.
