Invest #95L has a loose envelope of circulation, perhaps not tight and well-defined enough yet to be called a tropical depression, but that could happen soon. Should pass just north of the Leeward Islands, bringing a few showers to the region. Expected to stay weak due to shear.
The overall risk of severe storms continues to expand. SPC now has a large chunk of our local area involved in their Level 2 (out of 5) severe weather risk.

That tiny blue dot you see in the middle of this radar image is indicative of a tornado on the ground doing damage and lofting debris high into the atmosphere near Bay Springs & Louin, Mississippi in Jasper County.
Storm is pushing toward Quitman, & ultimately Choctaw County, AL
ECMWF ensemble continues to hint at a couple possible scenarios for a Gulf system: 1) Weak system moves quickly across S FL. 2) A slightly stronger system (due to more erosion of the trough and more time over the warm Gulf) moves up towards the FL Big Bend area. (1/2)
