Dear DI - Dansk Industri You say that you lack qualified candidates. Tip: A better check for non-men candidates may help your supply 😂 #ligestilling #dkpol
Genomes of half of all bacterial isolates from infections are now being routinely sequenced at Rigshospitalet = 11,000 /year. Work led and presented by Karen Leth Nielsen at national clinical bacterial WGS meeting at Statens Serum Inst.

Great talk by Sonia Aracil-Gisbert on bugs and plasmids persisting in sinks in ICUs. A lot of talks at #ECCMID2023 showing sinks/drains as major reservoirs fueling nosocomial outbreaks.
We have identified a hypervirulent and MDR sublineage of Klebsiella pneumoniae in Denmark and describe nosocomial transmission plus within-patient horizontal transfer of a resistance gene to an isolate of Serratia marcescens. eurosurveillance.org/content/10.280… Henrik Hasman
Out now Nature Medicine results of our #AcuteCare Australian Genomics study 🇦🇺 Huge national effort: 290 critically ill 👶 2.9 days to WGS result ⏱️ RNAseq+proteomics+extra analysis 🔍 👉54% diagnosed, major impacts on care 🏥 rdcu.be/dd4M6 🧵
This was a long time coming! We find that antibiotic tolerance precedes resistance in cystic fibrosis chronic infections - but as always, nature is messy: Only for some drugs and clone types academic.oup.com/evlett/advance… with Ashleigh Griffin Melanie Ghoul Rasmus Lykke Marvig Lars Jelsbak
