millions of Ukrainian books turned to ashes in the last two years by russians so then someone in the future can say “wow russian literature is so great and how come no russian neighbor managed to produce anything like that?”

"Where is your great well known literature?". Well, here it is – destroyed and burned down. The Vivat publishing published hidden diaries from occupation by Volodymyr Vakulenko, who was killed, that was found by Victoria Amelina, who also was killed. Guess who killed them.

50 000 of new Ukrainian books. Fifty thousand. That's the quantity Russians burnt yesterday just a week before one the biggest book fairs in Ukraine. That books will never get to their readers. That's what Russia has been doing with our books for centuries. 📷 Ihor Leptuha

It is the last week of our crowdfunder for a mobile #Library for Ukraine. We would love your help to meet our £10,000 target. Anything you can spare will go towards the preservation of a culture under attack. crowdfunder.co.uk/p/mobile-libra…

Okay, this will be like crying out in the desert, and Twitter is unlikely to actively show this thread in English, but we have to try. Maybe something will come of it. So, a thread about the Russian opposition for an English-speaking audience.

Odesa, Poltava, Zaporizhzha, Sumy, Kharkiv. Damaged and destroyed museums, theaters, historical buildings and people's houses. Kyiv is under attack every day with big exploitative drones. The terror of innocent people became routine. Kateryna Kosiyanenko, Friday morning, 2025
