Below is a fascinating comment where this person says they used to take ski trips with their friend group, but now diverging incomes/tastes have made it impossible to compromise

I find this entire topic -- of spending among friends/family with different means -- so interesting

This is something that a nice cashmere coat could solve, Donald. Of course, you might find that slightly unaffordable due to the ~$500 million you owe in court judgments since last year

Thankful I can enjoy amazing meals without worrying about price because I'm not throwing away money on mortgage interest

On a 30-year mortgage, it would be 22 years before more of my payments would go towards principal than interest. This is a median priced house in California

I didn’t create my podcast to share money tips or budgeting hacks. I wanted to show you how complex & fascinating money psychology truly is — so you could have your own deep breakthroughs

That’s why I’m so thankful for comments like this

Human psychology will never cease to amaze me.

Paying someone based on a % of costs = $450k

Paying a flat fee = $270k

A majority of ppl will opt to pay the % b/c the flat fee is 'too expensive.'

Boggles the mind every time.

AMAZING. For the past decade, I've received literally thousands of comments about buying vs. renting every single month

This is one of about 5 -- just 5! -- where the commenter actually admitted they made money from buying due purely to luck

A lot of us believe love shouldn't be hard (and sometimes, money shouldn't be hard)

It should come 'naturally'

I love this quote from The Meaning of Marriage that reframes difficulty. Anything important is hard

One of my favorite things on twitter is when anonymous people tell me, Ramit Sethi, how wealthy people behave

What's next, FY🚦DEV? Do you want to tell me what to order at an Indian restaurant?
