India Meteorological Department predicted above normal monsoon (106% of LPA) during the 2024 season, due to emerging La Nina & Positive Indian Ocean Dipole.

But, we should expect more rainstorms, thus more heavy rains & possible floods during the season.

There is a high probability that a La Nina after an El Nino event will bring good monsoons.
1972-73, 1982-83, 1987-88, 1997-98, 2002-2003, 2009-2010, 2015-2016.

Let us hope for a good monsoon in 2023. Country needs a good monsoon..
