Our 7th graders experienced flight and indoor skydiving at iFLY Lincoln Park and participated in STEM and science activities-Had a blast #LFMoments Lake Forest School District 67
7th graders learned about Momentum & Energy transfer, as well as elastic & Inelastic collisions. Next class: students will design and test crash barriers. Can’t wait to see how they apply their learning in this engineering design challenge #WeAreDeerPath Lake Forest School District 67
Impressed by the ingenuity of these students who designed crash barriers to minimize the effect of collisions. Many thanks to Spirit of 67 for their generous grant that allowed the acquisition of Vernier cart systems used in this Engineering Design Lab #WeAreDeerPath #LFMoments
Many thanks to Litsa K, a former student, currently studying Bio-engineering Harvard University, who dropped by my classroom yesterday and spoke to my students. It is always great to see and hear what my former students are up to. So proud of you Litsa! Lake Forest School District 67
Congratulations to the Deer Path Middle School Class of 2023! 🎓 Deer Path Middle School Lake Forest School District 67 #LFmoments

While 3D designing, these STEM students are pushing their boundaries, thinking outside the box, and taking risks with their ideas making a bobblehead and a ball game using Tinkercad Lake Forest School District 67 Deer Path Middle School
7th graders apply forces, motion & energy as they build functional roller coasters. With a $450K budget, they're mastering teamwork & STEM skills through hands-on learning & managing $ to stay under budget. Can't wait for their sales pitches! Thank you Spirit of 67 for the kits
Thanks Matthew Montgomery, Ph.D. for taking time out of your busy schedule and joining our science class and working collaboratively with students as they explored Newton’s First Law.
