▶️Govt's latest offer = 4.3% and not fully funded. ▶️STRB recommendation = 6.5% Gillian Keegan we know the STRB report is sitting on your desk. It's time to make it clear whether you intend to implement the recommendation. #PayUpNow Make sure you return your re-ballot vote now.

The failure to publish the STRB report raises suspicions that the Government is planning not to implement the recommendations of the independent review body. Today we’ve written to Gillian Keegan - read our letter here 👉 bit.ly/3X5rUwH

We didn’t have wine time Fridays , we didn’t have staff gatherings, staff were socially isolated from other staff in school. Classes were in bubbles, no lunch breaks, children served dinner in class. Every rule followed unlike many of the people in Boris Johnson’s government.

This just makes it worse. Pointless and destructive. A process lacking in soul and care. Time for change. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan…

I think perhaps as a profession we expend far too much energy into trying to encourage, enforce and track that pupils read at home. Probably more useful to imagine ‘what would I do if none of my pupils read at home?’ and then start just doing that every day.

Would genuinely like to know what serving inspectors make of this. If we can’t make things change, shouldn’t they? #MoralResponsibility bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan…

"An inspection should be about helping schools with independent scrutiny not catching them out & publicly shaming them. Ofsted’s use of safeguarding as a ‘limiting judgment’, overriding all other strengths & complexities of a school, puts heads in a position of constant jeopardy"

To all the people on Twitter who are not involved in education... I hope you can see how utterly depraved those in charge of our children's education are? Teachers are struggling to get their hands on a glue stick ! Headteachers are making staff redundant! Absolute insanity!

Got my Ofsted report (which I won’t specifically comment on). The reality is - no matter how pleased you are the whole experience is a damp squib that can never justify the years of stressful build up… ever. The system MUST change.

Old Primary Head (@oldprimaryhead1) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Recent Ofsted experience: 1. The inspector was excellent… deeply knowledgeable 2. We knew what to expect and that is what happened But, nothing will change my mind. Ofsted inspections MUST change. They must do what is needed to improve our schools without attacking them.

Old Primary Head Exactly this. Professional, rigorous, considerate and very knowledgeable. But framework is deeply flawed and I still can't help but think quality of teams are variable.

Old Primary Head I am glad you had a good experience but as a person that has been on three sides on this (As a headteacher, Ofsted Inspector and Education Adviser) I know how it is pure chance that you get an inspector who knows what they are doing.

Old Primary Head (@oldprimaryhead1) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Patricia Claxton #Farageout This was my double figure inspection. In all honesty 90% of inspectors have been very good. But I know… it takes one rogue inspector to destroy a school. That is one too many.

I have tried for nearly 5 months to take these beach huts over from council and the council have thrown obstacle after obstacle in my way. I wanted to start a Beach nursery and holiday camp using them as shelter. They are currently empty! #whywhywhy
