What is the purpose of purchasing an airline ticket for a business trip, through the university purchasing and travel system, if you still have to dig through your emails to upload a picture of your itinerary to prove that you went on said trip….

We need more radiochemists in academia to train the next generation of radiochemists, to meet increasing demand. But the radiochemists in academia aren’t getting funding, pushing them to leave to industry. What a conundrum… I guess.

That hardest part about grief is the world moving on and forgetting that you’re still in the thick of it. Everyone forgets what happened and moves on, except you.

A reviewer suggesting the proposal should include AI/ML when the PI clearly doesn’t have experience in AI/ML, and the work also doesn’t need AI/ML, is kinda insane.

Congrats to Evan for successfully completing his proposal defense today. He’s officially a PhD candidate!

I’ve had two people be really nice to me today (early in the morning too!) and I just want to share that being kind goes so far. You truly never know how far a kind statement or gesture can go for someone especially if they are secretly going through a rough time.

Honestly, all you can do sometimes is laugh.
