A bench dedicated to those who liberated the Falkland Islands in 1982 was unveiled by visiting veterans earlier this afternoon at the Liberation Memorial. We'll have more in this evening's Falklands Radio News.

A couple of weeks ago, after a big storm, the white sands of Surf Bay turned this beautiful pinky red colour. The colour comes from garnet and on today's news we hear from geologist Emma Brook who tells us more about what causes these mineral deposits. #falklandislands #Geology
