It beggars belief that the Prime Minister could send Afghans who served alongside British troops to Rwanda.
Today the Lords have voted yet again to try to stop this from happening.
Tonight Luke Pollard MP and I have written to Ministers urging them to do the right thing.
If there’s a change in government later this year there won’t be a change in UK support for Ukraine.
Today with Stephen Doughty MP I met with Iryna Nykorak, a Ukrainian MP, to talk about continuing UK support and to reinforce Labour’s support for Ukraine until they win 🇬🇧🇺🇦
The Lords have just voted again for an amendment to the Rwanda Bill to stop Afghans who served with UK troops being deported to Rwanda.
Tonight Stephen Kinnock and I have written to Ministers asking them to do the right thing and accept this amendment.
The Government’s treatment of Afghans since before the fall of Kabul has been a shameful saga of failure.
Dan Jarvis and I have written for the Telegraph today about why Afghans who fought alongside UK troops should be exempted from the Rwanda plan telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/04/1…
Had a lovely birthday yesterday. 44 years old and loving life.
To celebrate my lovely fiancé took me to the 02 in London to see the world of Hans Zimmer and wow, it was superb. The one from inception was incredible.

Siân🏴 Stephen Kinnock Luke Pollard MP Mercer disagreed with all the Lords amendments... votes.parliament.uk
TalkTV Dr David Bull Rosie Wright Luke Pollard MP Bit rich Labour talking about tittle tattle, they talked about nothing but cake and wallpaper for months. Police have just announced she is under investigation, surely she should be suspended whilst under investigation, other MP's were. Their hypocrisy is off the scale.
Keir has written for the Herald today. Worth a read.
He talks about his support for defence jobs in Plymouth, and for Fred Thomas
As Keir says, Fred served his country with the Royal Marines and now he stands ready to serve his community.

Today Dan Jarvis and I wrote for the Telegraph backing an amendment to the Rwanda Bill that would have exempted Afghans who fought alongside our armed forces in Afghanistan from being deported to Rwanda.
The Government is opposing this sensible measure.

Out delivering my election address this morning with Michael. Someone is already ahead of the game and prepared for the general election and a vote for Luke Pollard MP
Stopped off in #Bristol today on my way back from Westminster to help Thangam Debbonaire on the doors ahead of the local elections on 2 May.
Good to meet local doctor Nick Smith who is one of the two Bristol Labour Group local candidates in Clifton Down. 🌹
Stephen Kinnock Yvette Cooper Luke Pollard MP Not one single Conservative voted against this happening - none of those who have declared they're not running and none of those who will obviously lose their seats - that is, those with nothing to lose - just staggering
Luke Pollard MP The Labour Party MY PARTY WILL DELIVER AN INCREASED 15% PROFIT ANNUALLY FOR THE NEXT FIVE YEARS.
I CHANGED LABOUR INTO MY PARTY FOR THE IDF, AND I WILL CHANGE BRITAIN INTO MY COUNTRY FOR YOU.
I BACK THE MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX WITHOUT QUALIFICATION.
