I've had a Discord account since 2017. The minimum age requirement to use Discord in the U.S. is 13. Simple fucking math should already prove that I'm an adult. I am not sending in government papers just to use the app without restriction.

Take the Discord age verification seriously. This is a case where even a VPN won't get you around this, as it effects everyone regardless if Age Verification has been implemented in your country or state or not.

I don’t think giving discord your government ID is a very good idea

I’m so upset by this, I use Discord as my main messaging app. I hate everything else. This does nothing to protect kids, destroys peoples privacy, and puts their identities at risk when Discord gets hacked (which just happened in October btw)

Discord literally had a breach that sold away our private information to hackers for using their customer support what makes them think it’s a good idea to give away our government id like this is a huge problem
