Jesus: “They will know you are my disciples by your love for one another.” Most of Christendom: “We will know you are his disciple if you come to our buildings and believe our creeds, doctrines, and old books...”

Don’t feel guilty for resting and relaxing over the holiday break. Your school work will still be there on Monday and beyond. When you take time to recharge and renew, you benefit greatly and so do your students. They need you at your best. #edchat #JoyfulLeaders

It's the holiday break, a good time for this reminder. Educators need to make these R’s a priority. 😊 1. Rest 2. Relax 3. Renew 4. Refresh 5. Recharge 6. Restore 7. Revive 8. Rejuvenate 9. Reflect #satchat #JoyfulLeaders #FutureDriven

This pandemic has already revealed that: - schools are so much more than just schools. - many people now realize how tough it is to be a teacher and that teachers are grossly underpaid. - teachers are irreplaceable and essential to learning and education. #homeschooling

If you’re nervous about the start of school, you’re not alone. I can’t ever remember starting a school year with more uncertainty or heaviness. No one has the answers, but we’re better together than if we try to go it alone. Your voice matters. Your feelings are valid.

It is extremely important for educators to work on their mental & physical health right now. Whether school is in person or virtual, we are dealing with stress that we have never encountered. Take time for yourself daily/weekly - read, walk, rest, spend time with loved ones.

My message to our staff right now is simple - keep it simple! My job as principal right is simple - keep it simple for my staff! This is not the time to over complicate the work we are doing! Keep it simple! Keep the main thing, the main thing!

I would like thank everyone who has done recess duty and has had to manage the idea of fairness of play and issues related to winning and losing. Recess matters.

Hey principals: You’re pretty awesome. Thanks for all you’re doing. I mean, COVID, quarantines, sub shortages, tik tok soap dispenser & urinal cake thefts…but you show up, step up, & keep things going. Thank you.

Never take away recess. It makes it harder for the student to focus, stay on task and behave the rest of the day. As a team, determine other consequences. Maybe even walk and talk to student during recess about what is going on, or let an administrator. Relationships & recess!

Amazing experience at our house today; Salvy joined in the neighborhood wiffle ball game! My son and I are the biggest Royals fans, this was truly unbelievable! #ForeverRoyal
