For the first seven days of #30dayswild, I decided to collect a rainbow of colours. Starting with red on the 1st June and looking for five examples of each colour, each day. Mostly seen on my walks but with a few flowers and leaves from the garden 🌈👇

Haven't walked round Lincoln Cathedral for ages so couldn't believe my luck yesterday to find this on the grass in front of the West Front. Grey-brown colour, barring... surely it must be from a peregrine?

A note to the U.K. Press. We at CRS will not be commenting this year about “the plague” of Craneflies “that is about to descend” on the U.K. Why? Because it’s not & you’ll print what you want anyway. You dramatise a natural annual occurrence, they harm no one, the end. Thanks.

Word of the day is ‘mumpsimuses’ (16th century): those who insist they are right and apportion blame to others without looking at themselves.

Find out how folk of one small Lincolnshire village are working with us to boost nature – watch 6pm on Sunday BBC1 @BBCCountryfile Hamza Yassin. Big thanks to the amazing The National Lottery Heritage Fund who fund #NextdoorNature for The Wildlife Trusts

A tidal barrage across The Wash would be catastrophic for wildlife and people. Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust oppose this scheme and will continue to do so alongside Norfolk Wildlife Trust RSPB England WWT and Dominic Buscall 👇
