A very showy reed warbler at Titchwell and wood sandpiper at Thornham today

I haven’t seen a small blue for years , so really pleased to get close views at cranwich camp today

First white admiral and silver washed fritillary of the year at Ken hill woods, had ringlet as well but couldn’t get a decent photo . Also pictured peacock and green veined white

Reports of Purple Emperor at a couple of new sites, the Yare Valley & at Sandringham as well as the more regular haunt of Foxley Wood. Normally we advise keep you eyes skyward but you could be lucky like Ron McIntyre and see one in a bird hide at Strumpshaw Fen. #savebutterflies

Lots of butterflies out at warham camp this afternoon. I had my first chalkhill blue and painted lady of the year and also had two hummingbird hawk moths

Just back from a week in Andalusia, bird watching was hard going especially in the heat . Highlight were two hoopoe at the hotel on the last day . Also pictured booted eagle, chough and a flock of glossy ibis

Great views of Manx shearwater at Holme this morning , shame I wasn’t as close as the dog walkers!
